How can a century-old brand make a product so iconic that it becomes a collectible?

.An uncomfortable truth

I hate uncertainty. I find it deeply unsettling.

But I've learned, slowly and uncomfortably, over two decades of projects across four continents — that to push my own boundaries truly, I have to ask the questions that make me most uncomfortable.

And every time I've watched someone genuinely change — a young designer finding their voice, a VP finally saying what they actually think, a team that stopped playing it safe — it was because they got to that edge too.

That's the only place real growth happens.

Oh, about those questions.

Those 20-year-olds amazed those massive companies because we gave them something rare — clarity of frame and freedom of play. Structure enough to focus. Chaotic enough to create.

The century-old brand made something iconic because we stopped optimizing what already worked and started asking what could be true instead.

The car manufacturer made a bag because we challenged a creative leader to ask the wrong question — and found the right answer.

And creativity is the most important skill of the future because it is the only one that lives exclusively at the edge of what we don't yet know. When we create, we are our best selves for others.

That edge is uncomfortable. It is unsettling.

It is also, as I wrote in my first book, the only place where authentic development and true creative expression are found.
